A legendary reception for the Atlas Lions after the historic achievement

 The Moroccan national football team landed, this afternoon, Tuesday, in the capital, Rabat, after the historic achievement it achieved in the 2022 World Cup, Qatar. The plane was received at Rabat-Salé airport, where it was surrounded by fire engines spraying water on it through its hoses.

The Moroccan national team's open-top bus made a grand tour, in the presence of a large crowd. The bus started its tour from the city of Sale before reaching the capital, Rabat, while the Moroccans were chanting "Sir Sir", which is the famous phrase that coach Walid Regragui loves.

Following the tour, the "Atlas Lions" arrived at the royal palace in the capital, Rabat, where they were given a distinguished reception by the Moroccan monarch, King Mohammed VI. The communiqué of the Ministry of Royal Palaces, Ceremonies and Decorations stated that the sons of coach Walid Regragui will receive a popular and official reception in the capital, Rabat.

Since the early hours of this morning, the streets of the capital, such as Hassan II, November 16 Square and Chellah Square, were filled with Moroccans of different age groups, as they refused to express to the lions their pride in them and their honorable path in the World Cup competitions.

The "Atlas Lions" achieved a historic achievement, after they became the first Arab and African team to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup. Morocco ranked fourth, after being defeated in the third-place match by Croatia, with two goals to one.

The Moroccan national team presented a strong defensive performance that greatly contributed to overcoming many competitors who have a selection of the most famous strikers in the world, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese national team striker.
