Keita leads Liverpool to the top

 Liverpool jumped to the top of the English Premier League temporarily, after beating its host Newcastle United with a clean goal, Saturday, in the 34th stage of the competition.

Liverpool reached the 82nd point to lead the league, two points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, who visit Leeds United later on Saturday.

The Guinean Naby Keita scored the only goal of the match in the 19th minute, after a successful exchange of the ball with Diogo Jota, who passed to his colleague to dodge the hosts goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and hit the ball into the net.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp preferred to rest the team's star, Mohamed Salah, before pushing him in the second half instead of his colleague Sadio Mane.

Liverpool players missed easy opportunities that were enough to comfort them and ensure an early victory, while the "Reds" fans lived difficult last minutes, fearing that their team would receive a late goal that would disrupt the lead race.
