Mystery surrounds Salah's fate with Liverpool

 Negotiations are still underway between Liverpool and Mohamed Salah, to persuade the Egyptian international to stay at "Anfield", amid fears that the player may leave the ranks of the "Reds" this summer.

A report by the British newspaper, The Mirror, indicated that there is a strong possibility that Salah will leave Liverpool this summer.

The report, details of which were published by the "Liverpool Echo" website, added that Liverpool had given everything it could to Salah, without the offer having any impact on the wage structure of the remaining players in the club.

The report also indicated that Salah's representatives in the negotiations do not make any concessions, which makes it difficult to reach a compromise that satisfies all parties.

Liverpool fears the departure of its first star, Salah, who scored in 254 games in all competitions 156 goals and provided 63 assists.

The Reds will find themselves in the event of Salah leaving his ranks in a difficult situation, as his other star Sadio Mane is on his way to Bayern Munich.

On the ninth of June, Salah was crowned the England Player of the Year presented by the Professional Players Association for the second time in his history.

Salah outperformed the five candidates, who are Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk, his Liverpool teammates, Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, and Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.

Salah had won the same award in the 2017-2018 season after winning the Golden Boot award by scoring 32 goals in the Premier League.

This is the latest award that 29-year-old Mohamed Salah receives, after being named England's player of the year, during the annual vote of the Football Critics Association.

Salah won the Golden Boot and Best Playmaker awards in the season ending 2021-2022, after scoring 23 goals in the Premier League and making 13 goals for his teammates.

It is noteworthy that Salah had won the award for best player in England a few days ago, presented by the Professional League, but by the public's vote.

Thus, Salah is the first Arab player in history to win the award twice in his career, after the Algerian Riyad Mahrez preceded him in the 2015-2016 season after his wonderful season with Leicester City.
