10 Al-Shabaab fighters were killed in southern Somalia

 10 Al-Shabaab fighters were killed during a joint operation by the Somali army and US forces in southern Somalia. The operation targeted a group of fighters who were gathering on the border between the Lower Juba and Middle Juba regions in Jubaland state, where their plan was destroyed.

The official media indicated that the National Army and its American partners cooperated in implementing a well-thought-out operation to thwart the Kharijite conspiracy, and that the operation was successful.

This week, another operation took place in the Central Juba region targeting a senior leader in the Al-Shabaab movement, and the Somali federal government said that it is focusing, with the support of its people and its international partners, on eliminating the Al-Shabaab movement.
