The Somali government prevents an Ethiopian plane from entering its airspace

 Today, the Somali Civil Aviation Authority, affected by the recent crisis between Somalia and Ethiopia, prevented an Ethiopian Airlines plane that was on its way to the city of Hargeisa from entering Somali airspace.

The plane carrying a high-level Ethiopian delegation was forced to return to Addis Ababa after it was prevented from entering Somali airspace following the recent events that occurred between the two countries.

This comes at a time when the diplomatic dispute between Mogadishu and Addis Ababa is escalating, which broke out after Ethiopia signed a memorandum of understanding with the separatist administration of Somaliland with the aim of securing its access to the Red Sea port.
