The Prime Minister meets Serbia's envoy to the Horn of Africa

 On Saturday, the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, met in his office with the Serbian presidential envoy to the Horn of Africa, Vladimir Orli, and discussed with him strengthening bilateral relations and exploring ways of cooperation in various sectors.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Serbian government for its firm support in rebuilding the security sector and the Somali army, stressing the importance of international partnerships in Somalia’s efforts to achieve stability and security in the region.

Serbian presidential envoy Vladimir Orli conveyed a message from the Serbian president to the prime minister, in which he highlighted the strong relationship between the two countries. He also praised the Somali government for the progress and achievements it has achieved in the ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab terrorists.

The meeting comes at a time when Somalia continues to make strides in its war against terrorism and is working to achieve long-term stability, and the discussions between officials indicate a commitment to strengthening the partnership between Serbia and Somalia and exploring new opportunities for cooperation in various sectors.
