Real Madrid continues its perfect run against Mallorca

Real Madrid

Real Madrid came from behind with a goal to win 4-1 at home to Mallorca, in the Spanish first division, on Sunday, to continue its perfect start to the season. Federico Valverde's goal, after a superb individual effort before the end of the first half, brought Real Madrid back to equalize, after Vedat Mukeri gave Mallorca the lead. Then Vinicius scored the second goal, before Rodrigo and Antonio Rudiger added the third and fourth goals.

Real faced difficulty to enter the atmosphere of the match, especially in a modest first half in the absence of its injured star Karim Benzema. After failing to score in the first 40 seconds when goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois saved his attempt, Mukeri scored in the 35th minute with a header in the absence of defensive control, and it seemed that the defending champions would end the first half late in the result, for the first time this season.

But things changed in stoppage time, when Valverde sprinted the length of the field before firing with his left foot from the edge of the penalty area, according to Reuters. Vinicius scored for the fifth match in a row, while Rodrygo and Rudiger increased Real Madrid's goals in the last minutes.
