France coach responds to Karim Benzema's "video".

France coach Didier Deschamps saw that Karim Benzema, who misses the Qatar World Cup 2022 due to injury, "doesn't worry about it" a lot after broadcasting a video showing the arrival of the Real Madrid striker to Reunion Island for a vacation, stressing that he only cares about the 24 players in the national team.

There is no doubt that Benzema's presence on Reunion Island weakens his possibility of returning to Real Madrid's training on Thursday, as some Spanish media announced on Monday, and perhaps his return later to join the French national team during the current World Cup.

And the French Federation announced the withdrawal of Benzema due to a muscle injury on the eve of the opening match of the World Cup. Benzema arrived on Tuesday morning on Reunion Island at around 9:20 local time, according to what an AFP correspondent confirmed.

A source close to the striker, who was chosen as the best player in the world this year, confirmed that he will spend a week-long vacation on this island located in the Indian Ocean, noting that he did not make any statement upon leaving the airport. When Deschamps asked about Benzema, who is still administratively registered in the official list of the national team, he said, addressing the journalists on the eve of the match against Tunisia in the third round: "You are looking for things here...".

He added, "These are things that do not concern me. I do not know who said what, where and why." He continued, "I discussed with Karim after his departure. You all know his condition and the time it takes for him to recover from injury. I only care about the 24 players who are here."

It is noteworthy that the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), in an inquiry to Agence France-Presse, whether Benzema will win the gold medal in the event that his country retains the title, confirmed that he "has the right" to do so, but the final decision is up to the French team.
