President Hassan Sheikh arrives in Addis Ababa to participate in the 36th African Union Summit
The President of the Republic, Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, and his accompanying delegation arrived in Addis Ababa to participate in the 36th Summit of the African Union.
The summit, which will be attended by leaders of African countries and other leaders from the world, will discuss the reform of the African Union, the implementation of the Union's vision for the year 2063, and dealing with the various challenges facing the continent, especially violence, poverty and terrorism.
During the summit, the president and his accompanying delegation will present the vision of the Somali federal government on the future of the African continent, Somalia's efforts to combat terrorism, the achievements made in liberating regions, and the importance of strengthening cooperation at the regional level.
The delegation of the Somali federal government headed by the President of the Republic, while in Addis Ababa, will hold talks with leaders of African countries and other leaders who will attend the African Union summit.
