Somali President receives the credentials of 3 new ambassadors
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud received the credentials of 3 new ambassadors to his country, in a ceremony held at the presidential palace in the capital, Mogadishu.
A statement by the Somali presidency stated that President Mahmoud received the credentials of new ambassadors, Ibrahim Matti Yaghli, Ambassador of Turkey, Sasanit Tangulrat, Ambassador of Thailand, and Evelyn Habunimana, Ambassador of Burundi, and wished them success in their duties.
For their part, the new ambassadors conveyed to the Somali President the greetings of the leaders of their countries, pledging to strengthen and develop relations between Somalia and their countries.
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud expressed his condolences to his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for the victims of the earthquake that struck southeastern Turkey at dawn on Monday, resulting in huge human and material losses.
