Somali President meets the Secretary-General of the United Nations

 President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud met with UN Secretary-General Antonio guterres. They discussed a variety of topics including peace, security, stabilization, and the humanitarian situation. The ongoing partnership between Somalia and the UN is crucial for achieving the country’s main objectives.

A brief statement published by the Somali presidency on its Twitter account stated that the meeting between Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres discussed a range of issues, most notably security, stability and the humanitarian situation.

President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud went to New York and met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations because he wants the best for Somalia and wants its crises to be resolved and security and stability prevail in the country.
