The Crew-6 team is preparing to return to Earth after spending 6 months on the International Space Station, including Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, who completed the first long-term Arab mission in space.
And according to what was confirmed by the US space agency “NASA” and “SpaceX” company, the possible date for the “Dragon” spacecraft to separate from the station will not be before September 3 at 03:05 pm Emirates time, provided that the descent to Earth will be on September 4 at 08. : 07 am Emirates time; This is according to weather conditions.
And the next morning (September 4), at exactly 7 am UAE time, the out-of-orbit burn phase begins, provided that the landing takes place on the ground no later than 8:07 am UAE time. According to the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center, the stages of the return of the "Dragon" vehicle, which carries Al Neyadi and his colleagues to Earth, include 7 stages:
- The first: It is represented in the ignition of the propulsion engines, to leave the international station.
- The second: is represented by the ignition of the propulsion engines to lower the orbit.
- The third: it is the separation of the base of the vehicle.
- Fourth: It is represented in the ignition of the propulsion engines to exit the orbit of the station.
- Fifth: It is represented by entering the Earth's atmosphere.
- Sixth: Opening the vehicle's awnings.
- Seventh: the landing of the Dragon vehicle in the water.
