The South West president chairs a meeting to discuss state security
The Prime Minister of the South-West Regional Government, Abdulaziz Hassan Mohamed Leftagrin, chaired a meeting to discuss the security of the state, especially the Bakool region, and how to participate and intensify the second phase of military operations against Al-Shabaab fighters, which is scheduled to begin.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Defense of the Somali Federal Government, the Deputy Commander of the National Armed Forces, ministers from the South-West Government, the Bakool Regional Administration, the Hudur District Administration, and officials of the security services.
The meeting focused on how to accelerate and intensify the second phase of operations against Al-Shabaab, which was announced by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh, during his visit to the city of Hadar in Bakool Governorate.
Last week, the Speaker of the People's Assembly, Sheikh Adam Mohamed Nur (Madube), the President of Somalia and leaders of South West State visited Hadar in Bakool District to accelerate ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab.
