President Hassan Sheikh receives the Russian ambassador to his country

 On Monday, President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud received the Russian Ambassador to Somalia, Mikhail Golovanov, and discussed with him the fight against terrorist groups in Somalia and cooperation in the field of development and humanitarian aid.

Ambassador Golovanov praised the progress made by the Somali government in combating terrorism, noting that the Russian government gives priority to supporting the Somali government, especially in the field of achieving security and combating terrorism.

President Hassan Sheikh praised the dedicated efforts made by the Somali people and the armed forces to liberate the country from terrorists who constitute an obstacle to the development of the region. President Hassan Sheikh expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the government and people of Russia for their generous support in the debt relief process for Somalia.
