Ronaldo comments after assaulting a child fan

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo commented on the incident of "assaulting" a child of an Igreton fan, during a moment of anger, after the end of the Manchester United and Everton match in the English Premier League, Saturday afternoon.

After Manchester United met Everton in the Premier League, and during the players' exit, Ronaldo broke the phone of an Everton fan, who seemed to provoke him.

When Ronaldo was about to get out, he hit the phone of an Everton fan who was filming him, hitting the phone and smashing it.

Ronaldo wrote on his Instagram account: "It is not easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments, like the one we are facing (with Manchester United). But despite that, we must always be respectful, patient, and set an example for youngsters who love the game."

Ronaldo added: "I would like to apologize for my moment of anger, and if possible, I would like to invite this fan to watch a match at Old Trafford, in order to enhance the spirit of sports."

The crisis of Cristiano Ronaldo, and the Everton fan, worsened on Saturday afternoon, after a comment spread, which several sites said was the mother of the child, about the incident.

The child's mother, Jake, wrote: "Nice trip to the match turned into me and Jake going to the police station. Ronaldo smashed Jake's phone while holding his hand while he was filming him at the end of the match. I'm shocked. How can a professional player abuse a child like this? What would he feel? What if someone did the same thing to his son?

It has not yet been confirmed that the post is actually attributed to Jake's mother, who also attached a picture of the impact of the blow on the child's hand, and the smashed phone.

Ronaldo may face severe penalties from the Premier League, due to his reckless behavior, especially since any interference from a player on a fan is considered a completely prohibited behavior in English stadiums.
