Somalia resumes economic relations with Saudi Arabia

Mohamed Adam Moallem, Minister of Livestock, Forestry and Range in the Somali government who is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, met with the Kingdom's Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdul Rahman Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli.

The Minister and his accompanying delegation were received at King Khalid International Airport by the Ambassador of Somalia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Salem Mao, and Ibrahim Fahimi, Head of International Relations at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Saudi government.

The two countries agreed to cooperate in the field of livestock, and to continue exporting Somali livestock to the Kingdom, where more than 800,000 heads of camels and sheep were exported in the last three months.

They also agreed to work together to prevent any disturbances in animal health, and to exchange experiences and training in the field of livestock development, laboratories and disease prevention.
