German coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that he was angry when he had to talk about the date of the FIFA World Cup "Qatar 2022" before the start of the new season of the English Premier League. Liverpool, led by Klopp, will start his new season (2022-2023) in the "Premier League", tomorrow, Saturday, against his guest Fulham, who is returning to the spotlight.

Klopp said, during the press conference devoted to facing Fulham, when asked whether the new season is still a long marathon or two sprints thanks to the World Cup: “The second part is definitely not a race for speed, because we play the first match after the championship on December 26 and the season ends. In May, this is not a race, I understand the question well but I can't see a real answer."

"I haven't heard anyone talk about it in this way as if it's a race that needs to be prepared differently, we will prepare for it as we normally do every season."

The German coach explained: “If all the players get a break, this is not a problem, it will be a good thing, because it will be like the winter break that happens in Germany a lot, and we are good at dealing with that, but there are other players who will play the World Cup for a long time, such as those who qualify For the semi-finals and they get a rest a week later, why not bring all the parties and federations to talk about the matter and find solutions?

"I wasn't angry at first about all these things, but just talking about these things now makes me so angry," he added. He explained, "My problem is that everyone knows that the dates and schedule for the season are not right, but no one talks about it enough, something must change."

He continued, "The International Federation, European Union, England or the English Premier League, please hold a conference with each other once, where the most important topic for discussion is the most important part of the game and they are the players." Klopp concluded his speech, saying: "The World Cup is being held at the wrong date for the wrong reasons."

It is noteworthy that Liverpool finished last season, in second place in the Premier League ranking, after losing the championship in the last round in favor of Manchester City, and also lost the Champions League final against Real Madrid, while winning the League Cup and the FA Cup, and the season began.
