Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud has declared a comprehensive war on terrorist organizations, and renewed his call to the army and people to confront Al-Shabaab and liberate the country from its grip that is destroying Somalia.

The Somali President affirmed that the federal government will do its utmost to confront the elements of Al-Shabaab and provide relief support to the Somalis living in the areas under its control until the terrorist movement’s addiction to these areas is eliminated.

President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud said, “All methods of war are now open to Al-Shabaab militants, and they will be bombed from the air and targeted by carrying out qualitative security operations against the movement’s headquarters and centers.”

That the threat of starvation in the country cannot be prevented until the Al-Shabab movement is eliminated,” and that the federal government will bear full responsibility for this, because the terrorist Al-Shabaab movement will raid any relief convoy for the affected people, so they must be eliminated as soon as possible

The speech of President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud came hours after the Somali government announced the liberation of more than 20 areas under the control of Al-Shabaab militias, and the killing of 100 members of the movement, including prominent leaders in the ongoing battles.
