With the end of the century... global warming threatens the continuation of life

global warming

The results of various scientific studies on the repercussions of climate change and its catastrophic effects on nature and humans show that the world is on the verge of worse in the coming years and decades. In one of the most recent studies, it concluded that global warming will expose more than a fifth of humanity to extreme heat, which may threaten life, by the end of this century.

Global warming constitutes a global concern that haunts the countries of the globe. Its effects have increased, and its economic cost has become a phenomenon more than ever before. As for its human bill, it is rising, and threatens a catastrophe that befalls hundreds of millions of people around the world.

What does the study say?

The study, published in the journal Nature Persistence, revealed that global surface temperatures are set to rise by 2.7 degrees Celsius by the year 2100, compared to the pre-industrial era. By this date, two billion people will suffer from global warming, which will keep them away from the comfortable climatic conditions that allowed humanity to develop over thousands of years.

most affected countries

The study warned that certain countries are facing a catastrophic fate represented by deadly heat waves, such as India, Nigeria, Indonesia, the Philippines and Pakistan, noting that the risks are increasing in regions along the equator.

While the climate could become deadly there if temperatures rise, due to moisture that prevents the human body from cooling itself, and in the worst-case scenario, with climate sensitivity to greenhouse gases higher than expected, the global temperature will rise by 3.6 degrees Celsius and leave nearly half of The world's population is outside of a suitable climate environment.

Experts warn that the worst is yet to come, and that the record high temperatures will affect hundreds of millions of people with deadly repercussions and turn large parts of the earth into uninhabitable areas, which requires urgent international action to remedy the disaster afflicting the earth and its inhabitants.
