Somali Armed Forces

The Somali federal government has deployed a large number of heavily armed forces in the “Bari Oged” area in Gal Ghudud District, Galmudug State in central Somalia.

This step aims to enhance security and stability in the region, which has witnessed repeated clashes between Somali forces and Al-Shabaab fighters.

The Somali government announced yesterday, Sunday, that its forces repelled an attack launched by Al-Shabaab militants on the area located about 60 kilometers from the city of Gire Ali.
