The Prime Minister meets with leaders of Save the Children

 Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre met in his office with the Director of Save the Children, Ms. Inger Aching, and the head of the organization’s office in Somalia, Mahmoud Mohamed. Barre discussed with officials ways to strengthen the protection of the rights of Somali children and create an enabling environment and opportunities for the younger generation in Somali society.

Following the meeting, the Somali federal government and Save the Children officials signed a memorandum of understanding as part of accelerating care for Somali children.

In 2015, Somalia signed the United Nations Convention for the Protection of the Rights of Children, which stipulates the necessity of preventing everything that could violate the rights of Somali children so that Somalia’s future will be better.
