The Prime Minister receives the Finnish Ambassador to Somalia

 Today, Monday, Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre received in his office the Finnish Ambassador to Somalia, Birka Tapiola, to discuss cooperation between the two countries and enhance Finland’s support for Somalia.

During the meeting, Berri stressed the importance of supporting the residents of the areas liberated from the grip of Al-Shabaab and the areas that government forces are seeking to liberate.

For his part, Ambassador Tapiola praised the efforts of the Somali government to pursue and eliminate Al-Shabaab fighters, stressing his country's continued commitment to supporting the Somali people and their government.
