President Sisi assures his Somali counterpart that Egypt stands by Somalia and supports its security and stability

 Today, Tuesday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud to develop bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop joint cooperation and continue and deepen coordination in various fields.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that the call dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop joint cooperation and continue and deepen coordination in various fields in a manner consistent with the historical nature of relations between the two countries. The call also touched on regional situations.

The spokesman explained that President Sisi affirmed Egypt’s firm position to stand by brotherly Somalia and support its security and stability, and to stand by Somalia in all the challenges it faces.
