Somalia and Italy discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation

 Today, Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre received in his office the new Italian Ambassador to Somalia, Pier Mario Daco Coppi. Last year, Somalia and Italy announced the launch of a new fund to support the country's efforts to achieve peace and stability.

During the meeting, ways to enhance joint cooperation and develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and various development programs were discussed.

In a statement, the Somali Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for Italy's continued support and commitment to protecting the unity and sovereignty of Somalia.
